Nahdlatul Ulama Da'wah Dynamics: Socio-Cultural Change and Disruption

The dynamics of da'wah and social cultural change/disruption, especially since the middle last century, have challenged major civic organizations such as Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). is often considered a conservative organization, unprogressive, even stigmatized, but this organization continues to fly its wings capture code change. This study examines Ulama's method, in deal with changes socio-cultural disruptions. paper uses qualitative methods transdisciplinary approach. It consists sociological, historical, approach, mainly emphasizing integrating communication science. subjects are Chairmen at PBNU for 2015-2020 period—data analysis by data reduction, display, conclusion, verification. results expose: (1) era disruption has tremendous impact on method (2) utilizes digital Media, media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Google Plus), NU Online, 146 Chanel, Aswaja TV, Nutizen, Islamic.com, Film. (3) materials contain: countering fundamentalism, radicalism, terrorism, Wahabism strengthening aswaja content, ukhuwah trilogy (ukhuwwah bashariyyah, ukhuwwah wathaniyyah, Islamiyyah). (4) revive slametan, praise, tahlilan, dhikr after prayer, maulid nabi, berzanji, halal bi halal, sarong, skullcap, turban, blangkon, istighasah, recitation, pilgrimage, haul, bahth al-masa'il.
